Our Method

At Realign we use a method called Posture Alignment Therapy which involves a regimen of uniquely tailored stretches and exercises that use gravity to gently coax the body back to its natural alignment so it may function correctly, efficiently, and ultimately free of pain. When the body does not move enough, the resulting muscular imbalances and compensations can lead to abnormal wear and tear, joint degeneration, and pain. Misalignments can also affect the performance of other bodily functions such as circulation, digestion, and breathing. Improving posture can correct misalignments that cause pain, help prevent further structural damage, and provide a solid musculoskeletal foundation.

At Realign, we look at the whole body when assessing the cause of your pain. Symptoms of pain and joint degeneration are clues that will help guide us to pinpoint the underlying cause of the problem. The graphic image of Function Freddie shown above demonstrates correct anatomical positioning of all load bearing joints. As you can see, the shoulders, hips, knees and ankles are all symmetrical from left to right, and they stack directly on top of each other. When the skeleton is properly aligned this way, the body is very effective at transferring gravity and moving efficiently without pain.
