Hi! I'm Maryann Berry.

At the age of 27, after being an athlete my whole life, I found myself dealing with chronic hip pain that left me in a wheelchair, even after going through multiple surgeries. I finally discovered the root cause of my ailments and healed myself by restoring postural balance to my body.

I found the work that I used to heal myself to be so effective, that I wanted to help others take responsibility for their health the same way I did. This led me to become an Egoscue Certified Posture Alignment Specialist. I started my practice in 2010, mostly helping friends and family. I started receiving referrals as the word spread, and went on to help hundreds of people around the world to eliminate pain and get back to the activities they love. 

I developed my video subscription service, The Posture Workout in 2016 as a way to make the tools of the Egoscue Method more easily accessible and affordable for people. Today I host a YouTube channel (Maryann Berry) with over 1000 subscribers and hundreds of free alignment-based videos.

Before getting into the Posture Alignment Therapy field, I worked in the fitness field for nearly 15 years. I got my start as a Certified Personal Trainer at 24 Hour Fitness where I had the opportunity to work with countless men and women while supporting them in reaching their health and fitness goals. Prior to getting into fitness, I graduated from UCSD with a degree in psychology.

When I'm not busy creating videos or working with clients, you can find me surfing my local breaks in San Diego, or hanging out with my wife and two cats.

Getting to the source of it all
After consulting with over 20 healthcare professionals, and undergoing hip surgery with no results, I finally sought out a method for addressing posture and getting to the root of chronic pain. Progress was slow at first, but I stuck with it and healed my body...this time for good.
